The Adult Programs provide assistance for individuals ages 18 and older with severe and persistent behavioral health care needs.
Assessment, counseling, medication management and crisis intervention services are available at each of our outpatient centers. Educational resources and support groups are encouraged.
Individuals can also benefit from out-reach support that occurs in their natural setting. This includes helping people to manage daily living activities, to develop social relationships, and to reduce episodes of crises. A team approach is used to promote the rehabilitation process. Residential treatment service for more acute psychiatric stabilization is located at the Charles L. Knight Adult Crisis Stabilization Program.
Active partnerships with various agencies, hospitals, and state-operated facilities are vital to addressing the additional resources necessary for a person's recovery and integration into the community. Many individuals require lifelong support to live full and productive lives. A coordinated system of care allows them to achieve greater independence and life satisfaction.
Together with concerned staff, families, and community resources, individuals are developing the strengths, skills, and self-determination that will allow them to realize fuller, richer lives.
